Dr Alexandra Kerr
BDSc (CSU)
Alex grew up in the Blue Mountains before moving to Orange NSW to study dentistry at Charles Sturt University. In 2013, she graduated as dux of her year, receiving the Australian Dental Association prize for the highest academic and clinical achievement. Alex joined Bega Dental Practice immediately after graduating and feels very lucky to have found a home within such a welcoming community. She looks forward to caring for the oral health of the Bega Valley for many years to come.
Please note that while Alex is not currently taking on new patients, she works closely with the associate dentists at the practice to ensure all patients receive excellent care.
Dr Mary Tiutiunnik
BDS (Syd), GradCert Dent (Adel), Grad Dip Psyc (UNE)
Mary graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1983 and founded Bega Dental Practice in 1996. Since then, she has served her community with an enthusiasm for ensuring access to quality dental care. Mary has generously devoted time to mentoring dentists early in their careers and has participated in various volunteer programs. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Dentistry from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of New England.
Mary is not currently taking new patients.
Dr Adelewa Idowu
DMD (Syd), M.Physio (Melb), B.Physio (Monash)
Adelewa grew up in the ‘Bush Capital’ and completed her dentistry studies at the University of Sydney in 2022. With a bachelor’s and master’s degree specialising in Women’s Health & Continence, Adelewa is also a qualified physiotherapist who worked in this field for 10 years before making the decision to train as a dentist. Adelewa loves to travel; she has lived and worked in the UK and set foot on every continent, except Antarctica (but that’s only a matter of time). She also enjoys hiking, baking and trivia. Adelewa is thrilled to be working on the Sapphire Coast and serving the Bega Valley population.
Dr Jessica Sunner
BDHS (Griffith), MDent (Griffith)
Jessica grew up in Canada before moving to the Gold Coast to study dentistry at Griffith University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Health Science and a Master of Dentistry with distinction. Jessica joined Bega Dental Practice after graduation and was happy to trade the snowy Canadian winters for the beautiful Bega Valley lifestyle.
Jessica enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and values building strong relationships with her patients to provide comfortable, personalised care. She looks forward to working in Bega and caring for the oral health of the local community.
Colleen
Practice Manager
A veteran at Bega Dental Practice, Colleen brings over two decades of dental experience to our team and ensures everything in the practice runs smoothly. She knows our patients well and is dedicated to helping them meet their dental needs. Colleen does an amazing job of managing our cancellation list and is known for her ability to accommodate patients during our busiest times. She consistently goes above and beyond to provide excellent care, creating a professional and welcoming environment for everyone who visits.
